I absolutely loved this book. Considering I’m not typically into fantasy, this book was really amazing and continuously kept my attention. There is always something to keep you on your feet throughout the book in terms of plot, but the way it’s written?... equally fantastic and even sometimes a bit funny. Elizabeth is an extremely relatable protagonist and the creativity in this book is over the moon! Phenomenal | Dragon Pearls 1st May 2021 |

This young author continues to surprise and intrigue - clearly more developments to come from these characters who have more depth to them than first appears. |

This novel is everything I had hoped the sequel would be. Just as Elizabeth has grown and matured so has the writing. It’s beautifully descriptive and you never quite know what’s around the corner. The ending in particular is superb (no spoilers!). Another great job by Deborah Rose! |

A first outing for Deborah Green, the author of this fast moving and entertaining fantasy, for lovers of dragon's, trolls and the rest! Characters you can relate to, and you are eager to follow the quickly developing plot - a bit of a sudden ending, but surely that will lead us into an eagerly anticipated sequel. Look forward to it. |
Her fast paced debut novel packed with detail drew me in. I related to the family interaction at the very start and was curious as to where it would all lead. Deborah used a fine balance of fun, nail biting adventure, evil, love and friendship to entertain me as I read. That’s a big achievement for a young author. Well done.... anticipating the sequel Deborah. Well done. | Dragon Pearls 21st April 2020 |

I finished this book in just three days, I couldn’t put it down despite not usually being a fantasy reader. Brilliantly written and was full of surprises the whole way through. I look forward to reading the upcoming sequel! |
Loved this debut novel by a talented young author. Thoroughly enjoyable fantasy adventure which held my attention from start to finish, only leaving me disappointed that it was over. The reader is launched into a vivid, magical world populated by dragon riders, elves and trolls, along with the heroine, Esther (aka Elizabeth) and her companion Liam; teenagers called upon to undertake a life or death quest to save the world from subjugation by the evil king of the trolls. Beautifully honest in its portrayal of young adult fears and emotions when faced with the ultimate responsibility for life and death. Looking forward to the sequel. | Dragon Pearls 1st July 2019 |
